AKN4EU Mapping
Mapping goals
The AKN4EU mapping defines how LexPons segments articles, paragraphs, points, annexes, and references into a source-linked canonical structure. The goal is not only valid markup but stable identity for later transforms.
Core rules
- Preserve the legal hierarchy as published, including nested lists and annex references.
- Assign stable identifiers so equivalent provisions produce repeatable canonical nodes.
- Keep provenance metadata close to each mapped fragment to support downstream explanation.

This stub will later define namespace conventions, JSON projection rules, validation constraints, and treatment of amending acts. For now it documents the minimum assumptions used by the website, CLI, and API examples.
